Starring role for Welsh Lamb at Cannes 2013

Claude Bosi of 2 Star Michelin Hibiscus Restaurant is providing a movie inspired menu for Judges at the Cannes Film Festival 2013.  Claude has created an homage meal, based on 'The Piano', winner of the 1993 Palm d'Or, for the world renounded festival of film as part of an Electrolux sponsorship of Michelin partner chefs at the event.

Daphne appointed to team of Lamb-assadors for Welsh PGI Lamb

Daphne has recently been appointed one of a team of ‘Lamb-assadors’ to sing the praises of the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status of Welsh Lamb.  The ‘Lamb-assadors’ have been recruited by Welsh agency Hybu Cig Cymru come from a variety of professions, including farmers, butchers and chefs.  This team of industry experts, including Daphne, will help to promote the unique qualities of Welsh Lamb and the benefits that PGI status gives to producers, suppliers and, of course, consumers.

The ‘Lamb-assadors’ include high profile chefs, Michelin-starred Shaun Hill, Matt Tebbutt, Angela Gray and the UK’s youngest head chef, Luke Thomas, award winning master butchers Clinton Roberts of Pontardawe and Rob Rattray of Aberystwyth, with Welsh Lamb farmers Daphne Tilley and Myrddin Davies completing the team.

We're on Top of the World - Well London at Least

The Daphnes Original Welsh Lamb experience has just gone up in the world.  The lamb course featuring our lamb is being served Oblix restaurant in the London Shard.  The 32nd floor restaurant has amazing views high over the Thames, with the cathedrals of Southwark and St Paul’s, the BT Tower and the London Eye all unfurling below as you enoy fine cuisine.

Proud to Support Help for Heros

We are proud to be involved with Welsh farms in supporting the Help for Heros charity http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ the military charity that looks after wounded soldiers. Welsh farmed Beef has been supplied for the Help for Heroes Dinner in the Great Banqueting Hall, Whitehall, in February 2011.

Gold Star Fine Food

Our Welsh farmed lamb has been endorsed by many well known chefs and not without reason.  The quality and taste of the lamb has been recognized by major awards recieveing 3 Gold Stars from the Guild of Fine Foods, Great Taste Awards 2010 one better than the 2 Gold Stars recieved from the Guild of Fine Foods, Great Taste Awards 2009.

Countryside Alliance Award 2009/2010

Our family run farm business picked up the 2009 Local Food Award in the Countryside Alliance competition and went  forward to the UK wide grand final at the House of Lords on February 3. The awards celebrate the characters, skills, traditions and enterprise of the countryside and its people. 

 Unfortunately we just missed out on the national award but were so proud to be selected as regional finalist and to participate in such a prestigious event.  We of course continue to celebrate the quality of our product and friendly service that we offer and  continue with enthuasim promoting the quality of welsh family farm produce.

Good Enough for The Queen

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II gave Welsh Lamb from our farms a royal seal of approval when she requested the slow-cooked lamb during a banquet in February 2010.   The banquet for her Majesty and for her and 60 business leaders  took place in the restaurant perched on top of the iconic Gherkin tower.
